What are the cons showing why ice baths are not good for you:

  1. Ice baths can and will cause discomfort and pain.
  2. Ice baths can lead to hypothermia (If you are staying in the ice bath for to much time)
  3. Ice baths can increase the risk of injuries (when exiting the of the ice bath).
  4. Ice baths can be dangerous to people with heart issues

So, if to conclude the question are ice baths good for you? the answer is YES! Ice baths and cold plunges can improve your performance, help you recover quickly from workouts, help reduce inflammation in your body, help and improve your mental state of being, improve your skin health and even train your inner Sphincters – those circular muscles that serve as valves to open and close certain parts of the body. BUT! you should go into ice bath only if:

  1. You do not suffer from cardiac problem
  2. You are not staying more than 1.5-3 minutes on each plunge (listen to your body!)
  3. You need to do your cold plunge only when focused and ready. and exit the ice bath slowly, with focus and determination .


The ice bath is not a punishment, it's a reward.
